Construction has always been part of my DNA. My first job was working on construction sites. Since then, I’ve stayed close to the industry, surrounded by friends and peers who build, develop, and run construction businesses. I’ve seen the challenges up close.
In summer 2023, I met Chris Nations, President of a firm leading university stadium renovations. In our first meeting, he said something that stuck:

Before a single drawing gets made or a contract signed, Owners and their Representatives spend years laying the groundwork. They evaluate feasibility, secure capital funding, conduct stakeholder engagement, build multi-year capital plans, prioritize needs across the campus or institution, align projects with strategic goals, seek board approvals, and develop capital allocation strategies. All while trying to stay ahead of shifting priorities, compliance requirements, and budget realities.
What I found was staggering: Owners and Reps were completely underserved by modern software, especially during the earliest and most critical stages of capital improvement projects. Projects are driven by misaligned, outdated, and scattered tools - leading to disputes, budget overruns, and costly delays.
